This cocktail not only tastes great, but looks festive! The drink is balanced as the sweet cranberry and rosemary base breaks through the top layer of unsweetened coconut milk with every sip.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. Broker’s gin (or vodka)

  • 1.5 oz. unsweetened cranberry juice

  • 1.25 rosemary simple syrup (see NOTE below)

  • .25 oz. lime juice

  • 6 dashes Angostura bitters

  • 1 oz. unsweetened coconut milk (in a can, NOT a carton in dairy section) - Make sure you SHAKE WELL. The fat and liquid gets separated in the can.

  • Whole nutmeg

  • Rosemary (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Place gin, cranberry juice, simple syrup, lime juice and bitters in a shaker with ice and shake.

  2. Strain into a rocks glass over ice

  3. Slowly pour coconut milk over the top (so that it does not sink to bottom of glass)

  4. Grate nutmeg over top of drink

  5. Garnish with rosemary sprig

NOTE: To make rosemary simple syrup, bring 1 cup of sugar and 8 oz. water to a boil and let boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and place 6-8 sprigs of rosemary in the syrup and let steep for at least 2 hours.
