This is your basic simple syrup that will work for most cocktails. No need to buy it already in a bottle at the store. In a real pinch? Put equal parts sugar and water in a tightly closed bottle and shake vigorously until mixed as best you can. It won’t be syrupy, but will do the trick if in a real emergency:)

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. water (1 Cup)

  • 1 Cup white sugar

Instructions:

  1. Place sugar and water in a saucepan, stir and bring to a boil

  2. Once it comes to a boil, let boil for 3 minutes (longer if you want richer syrup)

  3. Remove from heat, let cool completely and put in squeeze bottle, mason jar, etc.
