Recipe: Spicy Ancho Bloody Mary

There are so many ways to make this. And it is all up to your preference. But here is one of my favorite ways to make a Bloody Mary — with a little head start using a mix.

 

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 - 2 oz. vodka

  • .5 oz. Ancho Reyes Verde

  • 4 oz. Zing Zang Bloody Mary Mix (or your favorite)

  • Juice from a quarter of a lime

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/2 tsp olive juice/brine

  • Pepper to taste

  • Hot sauce to taste

    Bonus/optional

  • 1/4 tsp prepared horseradish (NOT horseradish cream sauce)

  • 1/8 tsp celery salt

  • Garnish (optional) - olives, lime wedge/wheel, celery stalk, etc.


Instructions:

  1. Place all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake gently, just to get cold. Don’t want to dilute.

  2. Strain into a Collins glass

  3. Garnish if you like
